DZOFILM Pictor Zoom 20-55mm T2.8

The DZOFILM Pictor Zoom 20 to 55mm T2.8 is a compact parfocal zoom for Super 35 cameras. It holds focus through the zoom, so you can reframe mid-take without a focus puller chasing the change.

It works well as a documentary lens or a B-camera zoom beside primes. A constant T2.8 across its 2.75x range keeps exposure steady, and internal floating elements keep breathing to a minimum. A 16-blade iris gives smooth, round bokeh. The wide range makes it quick to reframe between a wide establishing shot and a closer mid shot.

Close focus is 0.6m, which is useful for tight inserts and close work at the wide end. The mount is interchangeable between PL and EF, so it fits cinema bodies and EF-mount cameras. It is the wider half of the Pictor pair, alongside the 50 to 125mm, and together they cover 20 to 125mm. It is a light zoom for gimbals and handheld rigs.
