Manfrotto Autopole Polecat, 1.5m - 2.7m

The Manfrotto Autopole Polecat in the 1.5m to 2.7m size is a telescopic pole that wedges between floor and ceiling to give you a support point exactly where you need one. It is a quick way to hang a light, a background or a flag without another stand on the floor.

A single-action cantilever lock tensions the pole against the ceiling and floor, and a safety lock stops it losing pressure by accident. Rubber cups at each end protect the surfaces and stop the pole slipping. It works vertically, floor to ceiling, or horizontally wall to wall, which helps in tight interiors where stands would end up in shot.

The aluminium pole extends from 150cm to 270cm, tapers from 45mm to 40mm in diameter and weighs about 2.2kg, so one person can carry and set it. It needs a solid ceiling and floor to push against, so check the surface before hanging anything heavy from it. Pair it with a clamp or grip head to hold the fixture or fabric.
