Manfrotto Autopole Polecat, 2.1m - 3.7m

The Manfrotto Autopole Polecat in the 2.1m to 3.7m size is a telescopic pole that wedges between floor and ceiling or wall to wall. It gives you a rigging point for lights, backgrounds and flags where no stand will fit.

Aluminium construction and a single-action cantilever lock make it quick to set up, and rubber cups at each end grip the surfaces without marking them. A safety lock prevents the pole losing tension unexpectedly. It is useful in studios and on location, particularly in tight rooms or corridors where stands would be in shot.

The pole extends from 2.1m to 3.7m, uses 45mm and 40mm aluminium tubes and weighs about 2.6kg. It needs solid surfaces at both ends, so check that a ceiling will take the push before hanging anything on it. Use a clamp or grip head to attach the light or background, and add a safety cable to anything heavy.
