The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is a fast portrait telephoto with a sharp, smooth look wide open, and a classic for interviews. This one is in EF mount, with Hyper Sonic Motor autofocus.

The 85mm focal length is a classic for portraits and interviews, and f/1.4 gives a shallow depth of field that isolates a subject. Sigma's design works to minimise coma and chromatic aberration, a super multi-layer coating controls flare and ghosting, and the nine-blade rounded diaphragm keeps the bokeh smooth. Autofocus is fast and quiet, and the Hyper Sonic Motor suits hybrid shooting.

Construction is 14 elements in 12 groups, with a 28.6 degree angle of view. Minimum focus is 0.85m, the filter thread is 86mm and the lens weighs 1,130g, so it is the largest of the Art primes in our range. It is an EF-mount lens with full-frame coverage.
