X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Photo

The ColorChecker Passport Photo is X-Rite's pocket-sized colour reference set, built to give a consistent starting point for colour from capture to grade. It combines a classic 24-patch target with a white balance target and a creative enhancement target.

The Classic target is the industry-standard 24-patch ColorChecker, used to build custom DNG camera profiles or as a visual colour reference shot in the same light as the scene. The spectrally flat white balance target helps set a custom white balance in camera, removes colour casts and makes histograms and previews more reliable.

The Enhancement target carries rows of warming and cooling patches, a clipping row for judging shadow and highlight detail, and a row of spectrum patches for checking hue shifts. The included camera calibration software builds DNG profiles for Lightroom, Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw, including dual-illuminant profiles for two light sources, and it detects the target automatically.
