16mm film
The ARRIFLEX SR3 Advanced is a 16mm film camera for Super 16 shooting, known for quiet running and a comfortable shape on the shoulder. It suits indie films, documentaries, music videos and anyone after a real film look.
The SR3 has crystal sync speeds from 5 to 75fps, so it handles normal sync sound shooting as well as slow motion and time-lapse. Its quiet operation makes it a good choice for dialogue scenes. The ergonomic body works handheld, on a tripod or on a Steadicam.
Film loads in 400ft magazines. Our kit includes a Kinotech HD-IVS MK3 video tap, which gives a clean HD monitoring image for the camera team and director, and a Tiffen 4x4 85 correction filter as standard. The video tap means film shoots can still run a modern monitoring workflow, with the image reviewed live while the negative records.
