The Atomos Ninja V is a 5 inch recording monitor that sits on a camera and records ProRes, ProRes RAW or DNx over HDMI. It is the compact choice when a camera's internal codec or its own screen is not enough to trust.
The 1920x1080 touchscreen reaches 1000 nits, bright enough to judge focus and exposure outdoors. It records up to 4Kp60 over HDMI 2.0, and takes ProRes RAW straight from the sensor of supported cameras, giving a much more flexible image than most internal recording allows.
The kit is built for a full shooting day. It runs from NP-F970 batteries through the eliminator supplied and records to the two 500GB Angelbird SSDs, so there is no separate battery standard to manage. A SmallRig cage and Noga arm rig it to a cage or rod system, and a sunhood keeps the screen readable in daylight.
