Canon FD Lens Set (TLS)

The Canon FD set is a TLS rehouse of Canon FD stills lenses made from the 1970s into the late 1980s. They share much of the look of Canon's K-35 cine primes, and like the K-35s they cover full frame.

TLS has rehoused them as proper cine lenses, with a cam-driven focus, a chassis-style housing that takes a matte box without touching the focus, and a new circular iris that keeps out-of-focus highlights round at every stop. The image is soft and flattering, with warm, organic flares and a gentle fall-off into focus.

Two of the lenses are FD-X, TLS's extended range built from FD glass: the 14mm T2.9 and the 45mm T1.5. The other two are the 100mm and 135mm NFD lenses at T2.1. All four are PL mount with a 110mm front diameter and full-frame coverage, so the matte box stays in place between lenses.
