DJI Ronin RS 2 - Normal Kit

The DJI RS 2 is a compact three axis handheld gimbal for mirrorless and compact cinema cameras up to 4.5kg (10lb). It has a built in touchscreen and is quick to balance and get running.

A 1.4 inch full colour touchscreen in the handle gives quick access to settings, so you can change modes and check the gimbal without reaching for a phone. The quick release plate lets you move the camera between the gimbal and a tripod or slider without rebalancing, which keeps turnaround fast on a busy day. It suits run and gun shoots, interviews and moving shots where a larger gimbal would be overkill.

The tested payload is 4.5kg (10lb) and the gimbal itself weighs about 1.3kg, which is light enough for long handheld takes. It handles most mirrorless and compact cinema bodies with a normal lens or small zoom. A heavy rig with a long lens, matte box and follow focus will be beyond it, and for that a larger gimbal such as the Ronin 2 is the better choice.
