Manfrotto 2-Section Wind-Up Stand

The Manfrotto 2-Section Wind-Up Stand is a heavy-duty steel stand with a geared crank for raising and lowering loads smoothly. It is built for heavy fixtures and long days, and reaches a working height of 247cm.

A geared column with a safety crank lets you raise and lower a heavy head without sudden drops, which makes it safer than a stand relying on friction clamps. A single levelling leg copes with uneven ground, so it works on stairs and rough terrain as well as studio floors. Wheels are available as an option for moving it around a set.

The stand is chrome-plated steel in two sections, 55mm and 45mm in diameter, and reaches 247cm at full height. Manfrotto rates it for loads up to 45kg. The top has a 16mm female socket and a 16mm male stud for a wide range of heads. Because it is heavy steel, it is best kept for big fixtures rather than small panels.
