The Sony URX-P03D kit is a two-channel wireless audio system from the UWP-D series, built for camcorders and mobile production. It includes the URX-P03D receiver and a transmitter, covering 566 to 630MHz.
The receiver is small enough to sit on a camcorder or a DSLR rig. With the SMAD-P3D adapter it slots into the Multi Interface Shoe on Sony camcorders, passing audio into the camera and taking power from it without a cable. That keeps the setup tidy and quick, which suits news, documentary and event work.
The URX-P03D is a two-channel portable receiver, so it can take two transmitters at once. It runs for about 6 hours in two-channel use on AA batteries, and it can also be powered over micro USB. It has a headphone output, a line input and an external mic input for an additional wired microphone. The receiver weighs roughly 210g with batteries.
