The Avenger D650 Junior Boom Arm is a heavy duty boom for hanging larger lights that have a 28mm (1 1/8 inch) junior pin. It mounts into any combo stand and is intended for wind up and super wind up stands.
It extends from 163cm (64.2 inches) to 300cm (118.1 inches), letting you place a large fixture over a set or talent without a bulky rig. A modified Peso counterweight is supplied to balance the load, and the arm has a built in grip head. It suits larger tungsten, HMI and LED fixtures that need to be held out from the stand.
Maximum load is 40kg (88.2lb) at minimum extension and 10kg (22lb) when fully extended, so heavier lights should stay close in. The arm weighs 14.8kg including its counterweight, which is itself around 6.7kg. Use a sturdy wind up or super wind up stand with sandbags, and always check the load against the stand before extending the arm.
