Tiffen Glimmer Glass 4x5.65 Filter Set

Tiffen Glimmerglass is a diffusion filter that adds a soft, clean halation around practical and specular lights while keeping faces sharp. This set is in the 4x5.65 size for standard cinema matte boxes.

Glimmerglass lowers contrast gently and lets bright sources bloom without turning the shadows milky. Skin keeps its detail in close-ups, and colours are only mildly muted, so the look reads as soft rather than obviously filtered. Even at heavier strengths the halation stays controlled and does not spread far across the frame.

The filters are 4x5.65 inch (Panavision size), made with Tiffen's ColorCore process, which laminates the filter material between two pieces of optical glass ground flat. They drop into a standard 4x5.65 matte box tray. They suit beauty and portrait work, and any scene with visible bulbs, candles or neon in shot.
