The Tilta Nucleus-M II is a wireless lens control system that handles focus, iris and zoom from one hand unit. It is a more affordable alternative to ARRI's wireless lens control. It suits budget-conscious cine builds.
The system drives up to four motors at once, so a full focus, iris and zoom setup with an ND motor is possible from a single hand unit. The motors are compact and high torque, and the hand wheel has adjustable tension. Its PID 2.0 algorithm gives a fast response of 0.02 seconds.
The hand unit can store up to 128 lens profiles, so a lens that has been mapped before can be recalled rather than set up again. Wireless range is up to 1,000 feet, and the hand unit can run off NP-F550 batteries. The kit adds hand wheel, dual grips with zoom module, 15mm and 19mm rod clamps and cabling.
