Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 35mm T2.1

The Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 35mm T2.1 is a general-purpose wide prime from the second generation of Zeiss Compact Primes. It is a classic focal length for coverage and handheld work, in a standard cine housing.

CP.2 lenses take Zeiss stills optics and put them in a proper cine body, with standard housing dimensions, standard focus and iris gear positions and a longer focus rotation than a stills lens. T* coating keeps flare and reflections down, and the 14-blade iris keeps out-of-focus highlights close to circular. The look is clean and sharp with Zeiss colour.

The 35mm is T2.1 and covers full frame (24 x 36mm), with a 54.4 degree angle of view. Focus rotation is 300 degrees, with 0.8 pitch geared focus and iris rings. The front diameter is 114mm and it weighs about 900g. The interchangeable mount system supports PL, EF, F, E and MFT mounts.
