Zeiss S16 Super Speed MKI Lens Set

The Zeiss Super Speed MKI is a fast Super 16 prime set with warm, slightly soft rendering that suits a filmic look. This set includes the Aspheron wide-angle adapter for the 9.5mm and 12mm lenses.

The T1.3 aperture lets you shoot Super 16 in low light that would otherwise need lighting. By modern standards the image is gentler and lower in contrast, with none of today's clinical edge. The Aspheron clips on to the 9.5mm and 12mm for a much wider view, and its own clamp adapters are included.

The set has four Distagon lenses at 9.5mm, 12mm, 16mm and 25mm, all at T1.3 with stepless aperture adjustment. Front diameter is 80mm throughout, and weight is about 0.7kg on the three wider lenses and 0.9kg on the 25mm. Close focus is 20 to 25cm. The lenses extend as you focus, which matters for matte box clearance.
