The SmallHD Ultra 5 is a 5 inch on-camera monitor with a 3000 nit touchscreen, made for use in direct sunlight. It is a compact monitor for operators who need a bright, accurate screen on a small rig.
The 1920x1080 panel reaches 440 PPI and handles 10-bit 4:2:2 Rec.709 processing. Waveform, false colour, focus assist and other PageOS tools sit on the touchscreen, so exposure and focus checks need only a tap and no menu trawling, even when the camera is moving.
It takes 3G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 (4Kp30) inputs and passes both through as outputs, so it can sit in the middle of a signal chain. It weighs 505g and measures about 13.4cm by 8.6cm by 3.5cm. The mounting points make it straightforward to rig onto a cage, an arm or a rod system. Its outputs let it feed a second monitor as well as the operator.
