The Sony FX9 is a full-frame 6K cinema camera with dual base ISO, Fast Hybrid AF and the colour science of Sony's VENICE. It is the successor to the PXW-FS7 and is built for documentary, drama and commercial work.
The 35.7mm x 18.8mm back-illuminated Exmor R sensor has 6008 x 3168 resolution and over 15 stops of dynamic range. It oversamples to 4K for a detailed image with shallow depth of field. S-Cinetone brings VENICE colour to the camera, and S-Log3 is the only log curve, matching the 10-bit codecs.
You can shoot QFHD full frame at up to 30fps and 1080p full frame at up to 120fps, with S35 modes reaching 60fps in QFHD and 120fps in HD. Autofocus speed and subject shift sensitivity are adjustable. It records four audio channels from two XLR inputs, the scratch mic or the MI shoe, and takes the XDCA-FX9 back module for DWX receivers.
