The Tentacle Sync E is a small timecode generator that keeps cameras and audio recorders in sync. It comes with a licence for Tentacle Sync Studio software, which speeds up syncing in post-production.
On a multi-camera or dual-system sound shoot, each device carries a Tentacle that holds the same timecode, so every clip lines up automatically in the edit. It is small and simple to operate, without a screen full of menus, and it clips straight onto a camera rig or sound bag. That makes it a practical choice when speed and reliable sync matter more than complicated setup.
The Tentacle plugs into the 3.5mm timecode or audio input of a camera or recorder, and weighs around 30g. It supports the standard SMPTE frame rates, including 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30fps. It is controlled with a smartphone app over Bluetooth, and charges over USB. The single set includes one generator and a Tentacle Sync Studio licence for macOS.
